The Cebu Institute of Medicine, established in
June 1957 as the College of Medicine of Cebu Institute of Technology (CIT) and
graduated its pioneering class of 33 students of the then five-year curriculum in 1962.
In 1966, Velez College was established and the then CIT - College of Medicine became
Cebu Institute of Medicine (CIM), now affiliated with Velez College. |

From its humble
beginnings within a three-building complex, CIM grew and is now housed in a five-storey
edifice at F. Ramos Steet corner Ranudo Streets, Cebu City, Philippines.
Presently,
CIM is classified as Level IV (highest category given) by the Commission of Medicine
Education.
