THE AUTHOR

ADOLFO ROMEL S. INDUCTIVO has been studying and researching the topics on Leadership and Discipline since his graduation from the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) in 1979. In 1995, after serving in the Armed Forces of the Philippines (20 years). He retired as a Lt. Commander from the Philippine Navy. His four years of military training and discipline in PMA plus his various field assignments and exposures in the AFP and the civilian life as an entrepreneur and a businessman gave him enough insights to write a book on discipline (physical). His eagerness to search for the truth led him to listen to the various teachings of different pastors, priests, and the like. His personal reading of the Holy Bible further enlightened him on the real meaning, essence, and wisdom of discipline (spiritual) to man.

He was a student of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) before he entered and finally graduated from the Philippine Military Academy with BS PMA (14th in the class) in 1979. He is also a graduate of BS Civil Engineering at the Technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP) and passed the beard exam in 1990. He holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of the Philippines and the University of the East and is now completing his Masters of Statistics in UP He is also a licensed Real Estate Broker. He has undertaken various military schooling while in the service such as the basic Army Ranger Course, Combat Information Center Course, Anti-Submarine Warfare Course, Naval Officers Qualification Course, and the Naval Command and Staff Course. He was assigned aboard different PN ships operating in Mindanao and the Spratley Islands as Mess & Supply Officer, Deck & Gunnery Officer, and Engineering & Damage Control Officer. He also served as Staff Secretary of the Naval Defense Forces PN, Executive Officer of the Naval Construction Brigade (Seabees) and Tactical Officer, Instructor & Course Director of the Department of Mathematics, PMA. He was the Commandant of various Reserve Officers Training Course (ROTC) units at Adamson University, De La Salle University, and the Philippine Merchant Marine School.

Being a karate blackbelter, Arnis instructor, and a champion coach and player of karate (KATA) in PMA, he developed and founded "KARNIS," a modern concept of martial art that combines the disciplines of Karate, Aikido, and Arnis into one powerful art. He also studied Reflexology and other natural healing disciplines and techniques. He is a "Feng Shui " a Security, and now a Discipline consultant. He is an instructor of Physics, Calculus, and Business Math subjects in colleges and universities in Metro Manila. An inborn artist (a charcoal and an abstract painter) having received awards and recognitions on this. During his High School days, he was a member of a competing chorale group, dance group, and a member of RMHS Rondalla group, which became the overall champion in Metro Manila.

He is now an entrepreneur engaged in franchising business, which he has developed and invented (patented). He is also a professional lecturer at the Philippine Public Safety College on Leadership and Discipline and was once a source person on the topics of Leadership and Productivity at E. C. Yap Quality Institute and Productivity in UE. Presently, he conducts a series of training seminars and lectures on the topic of Discipline both in government and private organizations. Professor Mel as he is fondly called now has acquired a mixture of talents, skills, knowledge, holistic experiences and expertise in various disciplines. He is an AFP Officer/soldier, an Engineer, an Educator, Administrator, Manager, Trainer, Sportsman, Entrepreneur, Realtor Consultant, Writer, Inventor, Artist/Painter, Musician, Natural Healer.
